Am I forgetting anyone with multiple all-stars snubs? If so, please let me know in the He’s a big fan of jimmy shirt moreover I will buy this comments and I’ll credit you here. For a few years now, the All Star Game has been a relative joke. It looked more like a dunking and shooting practice session more than 24 of the world’s best basketball players playing a match. I love seeing great players having a good time, doing stupid things they’d never do in a real game also but the excitement is undermined when no one gives a crap. Uncontested alley oops and 28 foot three pointers are interesting for a few minutes and it gets old fast. Ben Wallace, the 4x Defensive Player of the Year, went undrafted out of Virginia Union University. Wallace was picked up by the Washington Bullets after not being chosen in the ’96 Draft, and had a slow rise to stardom, while never even averaging 10 points per game. He would go on to win the 2004 championship with Detroit, along with 4 All-Star, 6 All-Defensive, and 5 All-NBA selections. He also is a 1x Block and 2x Rebound Champ. Wallace is one of the greatest defensive basketball players, ever, and possessed the incredible ability to stop opposing players, while being an undersized center at 6″9′. Wallace’s final All-Star appearance was in 2006, when he was the sixth-man, for the East All-Star team. It’s rare for an undrafted player to be as good as Wallace was, nevermind a NBA All-Star.
No NBA game can end in a tie, which is one of the He’s a big fan of jimmy shirt moreover I will buy this beauties of basketball, there is always a winner. I love football/soccer, but I find it sometimes disappointing to watch an entire game and turns out to be a draw. In Basketball if a game is tied at the end of the regulated time, there is an extra 5minutes allocated called Over-Time(OT), if within this time the game is still tied again, there is a 2nd OT, and so on and so forth, I believe the NBA record currently is 4OT’s Wilt never fouled out of an NBA game. He was ejected by the referee at least once that I know of. Ironically the same year he averaged over 48 min.per game. On the telecast last night Reggie mentioned that there were a few who have fouled out, Hakeem Olajuwon was the most recent. There were several more in earlier years when the games were actually contested and players played defense. The game now is mostly an uncontested dunk contest and three point shooting thrown in. The fourth quarter last night was very competitive and fun to watch.
